Ripley Fire Department Offers Limited Generator Loans for Elderly, Medical Needs

The Ripley Fire Department announced it has received a donation of 25 generators to support residents during ongoing power outages.

Generators are available strictly for medical purposes and for elderly residents without electricity. The department will loan the units and verify recipients’ needs before delivery.

Residents interested in borrowing a generator should visit the Ripley Fire Department to add their names to a list. They are asked to park in the rear of the department and not block the bays. A form will need to be completed upon pickup.

The fire department will deliver the generators and confirm the need of recipients. Once power is restored, the department will collect the units.

Officials emphasized the limited availability and asked residents to share the information with those who may benefit from assistance.
