Ripley Main Street to hold community clean-up Saturday
Ripley Main Street will hold a community clean-up Saturday to help neighbors who still have debris in their yards, many of them elderly, the organization said.
The group said it already has a list of homes that need assistance and is inviting church groups, organizations, families and volunteers to join.
Ripley Main Street asked groups that want to help to message the organization with a head count so volunteers can be matched with locations, the post said. Those who prefer to show up without signing up should meet at the Main Street office at 10 a.m., the post said.
Volunteers were asked to bring rakes, gloves, leaf blowers, chainsaws, tarps, wheelbarrows and other yard tools, Ripley Main Street said. The group said every helping hand makes a difference.
