Severe storms, possible tornadoes forecast for all of Mississippi
Forecasters warned the entire state of Mississippi faces a risk of severe weather beginning Sunday evening, March 15, and continuing into the early morning hours of Monday, March 16, 2026.
They said the state could see severe thunderstorms producing damaging winds up to 70 mph, quarter-size hail and possible tornadoes.
The threat is expected to develop Sunday night and persist into the early hours of Monday, forecasters said.
Forecasters urged residents to stay weather-aware, have multiple ways to receive alerts and identify a safe place in their homes or buildings.
