Severe thunderstorm watch issued for parts of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee

The National Weather Service office in Memphis, Tennessee, issued a severe thunderstorm watch for parts of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee until 7 p.m. CDT, the office said.

The watch warned that large hail and damaging winds are the main threats, the office said.

The office posted the warning in both English and Spanish, saying, “Vigilancia de Tormenta Severa ha sido emitida para partes de AR, LA, MS, TN hasta las 7 PM CDT,” in its Spanish translation, the post said.
