Social media message in Mississippi urges drivers to signal on Easter

A social media post in Mississippi urged drivers to use turn signals on Easter to help keep families safe, the post said.

The message noted many motorists were likely carrying children in the backseat dressed in their Sunday best and carrying Easter baskets, and it encouraged drivers to “signal every time you turn or switch lanes,” the post said.

The post included the lines, “Drive safely, signal every time you turn or switch lanes, and get there in one piece, y’all!” and used hashtags such as #Easter, #MShwys and #DriveSmartMS, according to the social media message.

The post framed signaling as an easy way to ensure family memories on the holiday, saying, “It’s how you ‘egg-spress’ your next move,” the message said.
