A social media post asked residents of Golden and parts of Tishomingo and Itawamba counties in Mississippi to report any hail or wind damage, the post said.
The post specifically sought reports from Golden, southern Tishomingo County and northern Itawamba County, and asked people in the red-shaded areas shown in the message to respond if they received hail or experienced wind damage, according to the post.
The message included the hashtag #mswx and thanked contributors in advance, the post said.
The post did not specify a preferred method for submitting reports, according to the message.
