A social media post urged people celebrating St. Patrick’s Day early this weekend to plan ahead and secure a sober ride, saying “Buzzed Driving Is Drunk Driving!”, the post said.
The post told “early birds” that luck is fine but planning is better and advised revelers to line up a sober ride before any celebration starts, according to the message.
The post included shamrock and rainbow emojis and used hashtags such as #StPatricksDay, #StPaddysDay, #DriveSober and #BuzzedDriving, the post said.
The message emphasized arranging transportation before drinking and warned that driving while buzzed can be as dangerous as driving drunk, according to the post.
