Temperatures are expected to remain above normal into next week, according to the National Weather Service in Memphis.
Rain chances will return this weekend, with the heaviest rainfall projected for Saturday night. Forecasters estimate a 30% to 50% chance of rainfall exceeding 2 inches, mainly over areas south of Interstate 40 and parts of northeast Arkansas.
Residents are advised to prepare for potential localized flooding and monitor updates from local weather authorities.
