Temperatures to climb above normal in Mid-South this weekend

Temperatures are expected to rise further above normal across the Mid-South into the upcoming weekend, forecasters said.

By Friday, much of the region is forecast to have a 60 percent or greater chance of seeing highs warmer than 80 degrees, forecasters said.

Forecasters said the pattern is likely to become increasingly pronounced into next week.
