Temperatures are expected to fall below freezing overnight from March 16 into March 17, 2026, the notice said.
The announcement urged residents to follow the four P’s of preparedness: people, pets, pipes and plants, the notice said.
It advised checking on vulnerable friends, family members and neighbors and bringing pets indoors, ensuring they have adequate shelter, food and fresh water, the notice said.
The notice also recommended insulating pipes and leaving water dripping during freezing temperatures, and covering outdoor plants or bringing them inside.
