Crews will switch traffic from two lanes to a new four-lane configuration on State Route 15 in Union County on Monday, Jan. 19, at 10 a.m., according to the MS Department of Transportation.
The change will occur in both directions of SR 15, between the Pontotoc County line and Kingโs Creek south of New Albany. The project also includes the activation of a new traffic signal at State Route 762.
The traffic switch marks the completion of the final phase of the project to build a four-lane highway connecting Pontotoc and New Albany. Motorists are advised to reduce speed and remain alert for roadside crews and changing traffic conditions during the transition.
