Trump approves Individual Assistance for Mississippi winter storm
PEARL, Miss., April 11, 2026 — President Trump has approved Gov. Tate Reeves’ request for Individual Assistance for counties affected by severe winter weather Jan. 23-27, the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency said.
The federal designation, FEMA-4899-DR-MS, applies to 36 counties and the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, MEMA said.
MEMA announced the approval in a news release from Pearl, Miss., on April 11, 2026.
MEMA said more information is available to affected residents.
