Tupelo woman arrested on aggravated domestic violence charge

Tilar T. Thompson, 25, of Tupelo, was arrested March 13 and charged with one count of aggravated domestic violence, Tupelo police said.

Police said officers contacted a victim Feb. 20 at the North Mississippi Medical Center emergency room at 830 South Gloster Street. The victim told officers she had been assaulted at a residence on Veterans Boulevard, police said.

After further investigation, Thompson was arrested March 13, police said.

On March 15, Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir ordered Thompson held on a $40,000 bond, and the charges will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury, police said.
