U.S. 98 westbound traffic shifted onto eastbound bridge in Marion County

A traffic advisory from state highway officials said that starting at approximately 10 a.m. Friday, April 10, westbound traffic on U.S. 98 over the Pearl River bridge in Marion County will be placed on the newly constructed eastbound bridge in a head-to-head configuration.

The advisory said the traffic switch will remain in effect until the westbound bridge replacement project is complete. The project is anticipated to finish in 2027, the advisory said.
