The university is awaiting water testing results following a recent storm, according to a message from President Barbara C. McMillin.
In a statement Thursday, McMillin thanked community members who are providing assistance. Nearly 50 volunteers are expected to arrive in the coming days with heavy equipment to aid in the cleanup.
Several individuals unable to volunteer have donated funds to help cover storm-related expenses. McMillin encouraged prayers for the community and expressed gratitude for the support from organizations and individuals during this recovery effort.
