Wind Advisory issued for parts of northeast Arkansas and Missouri Bootheel

A Wind Advisory has been issued for parts of northeast Arkansas and the Missouri Bootheel, according to the National Weather Service.

So far today, sustained winds have ranged from 25 to 30 mph, with occasional gusts reaching 40 mph, the agency said.

The advisory will remain in effect until 6 p.m. local time, as authorities warn residents to secure loose objects and exercise caution while outdoors.
