American Airlines launches weekly direct Jackson-to-Miami flight

JACKSON, Miss. — American Airlines has launched a weekly direct flight between Jackson and Miami, WJTV reported.

The service will connect the Jackson airport with Miami, Florida, operating on a weekly schedule, the station said.

To mark the launch and kick off the peak vacation travel season, airport team members brought Miami flair to the terminal, WJTV reported.

The new route gives travelers from Jackson a direct connection to a major U.S. destination, WJTV said.
