BOONEVILLE, MS — According to Booneville Mississippi Police Department, on March 30, 2024, officers responded to reports of a disturbance at a location on Miller Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered one victim who alleged they had been assaulted by Troy Mitchell Pounds, aged 39 and a resident of Booneville.
Mr. Pounds had fled the scene before officers arrived. Subsequently, the case was transferred to the Criminal Investigation Division for further scrutiny. After an extensive investigation, law enforcement officials managed to locate and arrest Mr. Pounds on May 11, 2024.
Troy Mitchell Pounds faces charges including one felony count of aggravated domestic violence assault. His bond has been set at $20,000.00. The Booneville Police Department confirmed that the case will be presented to the Prentiss County grand jury for further legal proceedings.
