Burglary of a Vehicle Leads to Arrest
Tupelo, MS – July 23, 2024
According to the Tupelo Police Department, after a series of vehicle break-ins reported during the week of June 3rd in residential areas of West Tupelo, significant progress has been made in the investigation.
During the reported incidents, which primarily took place during nighttime hours, several vehicles were found to have been unlawfully entered, with many being left unlocked.
On July 15, 2024, following extensive investigation efforts, Tupelo police arrested Za’darius Donald, 19, from Guntown. Donald has been charged with eight counts of Burglary of a Vehicle, marking the third arrest made in connection with these incidents.
The arrest came after Judge Weir of the Tupelo Municipal Court, on July 16, 2024, ordered Donald to be held on a $15,000 bond. Additional charges are currently under consideration, pending presentation to the Lee County Grand Jury.
The Tupelo Police Department continues to urge residents to secure their vehicles and report any suspicious activity promptly.
