WXXV reported that former Vice President Kamala Harris is scheduled to travel to Mississippi on Thursday, October 22, to campaign with District Attorney Scott Colom.
The campaign said Harris and Colom will hold a rural healthcare roundtable in Clarksdale at 1:30 p.m., where healthcare providers, patients and community members will discuss the impact of Medicaid cuts on rural healthcare and hospitals in Mississippi.
The campaign also said Harris is scheduled to headline a get-out-the-vote rally in Columbus later that Thursday; the campaign described the event as aimed at mobilizing Mississippi voters ahead of Election Day.
WXXV reported that Colom is the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate and is running against incumbent Republican U.S. Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith in the Nov. 3 general election.
