Local Donations Ease Transitions for Children in Protective Services
PRENTISS COUNTY, MS — The Prentiss County Child Protective Services, in collaboration with the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department, extends heartfelt gratitude to the community for their generous donations of luggage and bags. According to the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department, these contributions are crucial in providing proper luggage for children entering the custody of the Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services.
“These donations will significantly improve the experience for children during a challenging time,” stated a spokesperson from the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department. “It can be distressing for children to arrive at a new environment carrying their belongings in a trash bag or a nondescript sack. By offering them proper luggage, we are helping to preserve their dignity and sense of belonging.”
The initiative aims to ensure smoother transitions for children as they move into new homes under the care of the Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services. “This support not only eases the process for the children but also contributes to a more positive start for their new families,” added the spokesperson.
Community members who wish to contribute can still make a difference by donating luggage and bags. Items can be dropped off at either the Prentiss County Child Protection Service Office or the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department.
“Your support is invaluable and will make a meaningful impact on the lives of these children,” emphasized the spokesperson. “We deeply appreciate all contributions toward this effort to provide comfort and dignity during a critical time in these young lives.”
