Methamphetamine Lab Discovered in Tishomingo County Residence, Arrest Made
TISHOMINGO COUNTY, Miss. — According to Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Department, on July 11, 2024, deputies responded to a call at a residence on County Road 286 concerning unwanted guests. Upon arrival, law enforcement encountered a fleeing suspect who was swiftly apprehended.
During the subsequent investigation, deputies uncovered evidence suggesting the presence of a methamphetamine manufacturing operation. Further support was enlisted from Agents with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics to conduct a thorough search of the property.
The search efforts proved fruitful as authorities located and seized a functioning methamphetamine lab along with a quantity of the illicit drug. Anthony James Mosconi Jr., aged 44 and hailing from Grenada, MS, was taken into custody at the scene.
Mosconi faces charges that include Resisting Arrest, Failure to Comply with Law Enforcement, and Felony Possession of Methamphetamine. The investigation remains active, with authorities anticipating additional arrests related to the operation of the methamphetamine lab.
Following his arrest, Mosconi’s bond was set at $6,356.00 by Justice Court Judge Seth Adams. The Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Department continues to coordinate efforts with relevant agencies to ensure the thorough investigation of this case.
