House Speaker Jason White appointed eight Republicans and two Democrats to a joint redistricting committee as the Mississippi Legislature prepares to redraw legislative, congressional and Supreme Court district maps, the Mississippi Free Press reported.
The committee will take part in the redistricting process for those districts, the Mississippi Free Press said.
The appointments were announced by White, according to the Mississippi Free Press.
