Mississippi man arrested for knocking on police officers door and shooting him
A Mississippi man has been arrested for shooting an off duty police officer in North Carolina earlier this week. According to reports from the State Bureau of Investigation, the man, identified as Joseph Edwards, knocked on the officers front door and when it opened he shot him.
Edwards then drove away and was later confronted by police officers near Fayetteville, North Carolina. He was shot at and subsequently wrecked.
He was then transported to the hospital where he was served with an arrest warrant. He is being held on $1 million bond.
