NWS: Sunny, hot conditions across Mississippi on Oct. 8, 2026

The National Weather Service forecasts sunny skies and hot daytime temperatures across Mississippi on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026, with highs in the 80s and 90s.

According to the National Weather Service, northern Mississippi is expected to be sunny with highs in the lower 90s, calm winds and a mostly clear night with lows in the upper 50s.

Central Mississippi is forecast to be sunny with highs in the lower 90s and a mostly clear night with lows in the mid 60s, the National Weather Service says.

The National Weather Service says southern Mississippi will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 80s and a partly cloudy night with a slight chance of showers and a low near 70.
