Reeves Declares State of Emergency for Tropical Storm
On Sunday, Governor Tate Reeves announced he is instituting a state of emergency in preparation of Tropical Storm Sally.
The storm is quickly approaching the Gulf Coast, and Reeves is preparing for low lying coastal evacuations by Monday morning.
Areas near the coast, such as Hancock, Harrison, Jackson and Pearl River counties, are forecasted for significant rainfall of up to 15 to 20 inches.
