Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei called the Pentagon’s decision to designate the company a supply chain risk “retaliatory and punitive,” he told CBS News in an exclusive interview.
The Pentagon designated the company a supply chain risk, a move that restricts military contractors from doing business with Anthropic, the department said.
The designation followed Anthropic’s refusal to give the military unfettered access to its artificial intelligence model, CBS News reported.
Amodei’s comments came amid the dispute between the company and the Pentagon over access to the AI model, according to the interview with CBS News.
