Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and musician Kid Rock took a flight in Army Apache helicopters Monday in the Washington, D.C., area.
The flights come weeks after the military faced criticism for flying helicopters near Kid Rock’s residence in Tennessee.
A military spokesperson described Kid Rock as a patriot and a supporter of the troops. The Defense Department has not issued further comment on the incident.
The helicopter ride was reportedly part of a demonstration event, highlighting military capabilities and honoring service members.
It remains unclear whether the flights were coordinated as part of official military activities or if they were arranged independently.
