President Donald Trump ordered U.S. agencies to stop using Anthropic’s artificial intelligence technology, a report provided by the user said. The action followed a standoff between the Pentagon and the company, the report said.
Dario Amodei, chief executive of Anthropic, said in a statement that he refused the Pentagon’s terms. “In a narrow set of cases, we believe A.I. can undermine, rather than defend, democratic values,” he wrote, the report said.
