Heavy rains leads to road flooding, road closed

Be cautious of the amount of rain we’ve gotten in our area over the past several days as a well travelled road has been shut down due to flooding.

Highway 178, which runs from New Albany to Tupelo and is a popular route for employees going to work at the Toyota plant in Blue Springs, has been shut down due to flooding and a mud slide according to emergency officials.
