18 wheeler hauling wood products overturns blocking Highway 4

An 18 wheeler accident on Wednesday caused both lanes of traffic to be blocked, according to the MHP.

The accident happened around 4:30 Wednesday. The MHP released the following:

MS 4 at the Tippah/Prentiss County line, one semi truck rollover hauling wood chips. Both lanes are blocked at this time. Troopers and First Responders are on the scene working on getting the roadway cleared. If in this area, expect delays.

Dry Creef Fire released the following:

3/22/23: 16:38- Rescue 7, Engine I, Engine 2 responded on Highway 4 to the report of a semi-truck rollover. Tippah EMS and Tippah Sheriff, along with Mississippi Highway Patrol responded.

As of 6 pm the roadway was mostly clear for traffic.
