Aluminum Can Shortage Threatens Beer Availability
In a year of coronavirus, murder hornets, and coin shortages, a new issue has made its way in to the scene: shortages of aluminum beer cans.
According to brewbound.com, the United States is currently running low on aluminum cans that are used to package alcoholic beverages for retail purchase.
Many different reasons are being stated as problem-causers. For one, beer is being consumed at home much more than usual with coronavirus restrictions cracking down on bars and restaurants.
Also, alcohol is at an interesting place right now. Where light beer once ruled, seltzers like White Claw are dominating the market currently.
Analysts are warning to be prepared for multiple brands and brews to become possibly out of stock in the future
