Tippah county has its first confirmed case of coronavirus.
The tippah county hospital issued the following statement.
“Tippah County Hospital has reported its first positive Coronavirus test to the Mississippi Department of Health. The patient was transferred to another facility for treatment and no other information is available.”
This comes as there were cases in 21, now 22, counties in MS with reported cases.
There are approaching 100 cases in the state.
Schools have been closed and several local businesses have closed for nearly a month as we deal with this pandemic.
More information will be made available from the MSDH tomorrow.
