Man dies in house fire in Benton County

A man has been reported as dead after a house fire in Benton County.

From the Ashland Fire Department:

November 19,2019 23:30
Ashland fire department along with mutual aid support from Able Store fire department and Snow Lake fire department was dispatched to a residential structure fire on Pleasant Hill road. After the first units arrived to the station they were notified of a possible person still in the house.

On arrival Firefighters Chase Hopkins and Matthew Mcbride entered the house and located the patient and removed the patient from the structure in the matter of minutes. At this time the patient had a pulse, but sadly after efforts of medics and firefighters the patient succumbed to his injuries.
