Next round of severe weather, including possible tornadoes, in forecast for this week
After sweeping storms hit the area last week, the next round of severe weather is projected for the area for Wednesday night into Thursday.
From the NWS:
Strong to severe storms are possible along and west of the Mississippi River late Wednesday night and across the entire Mid- South on Thursday. Spotter activation may be needed late Wednesday night into Thursday.
According to MEMA:
Another round of Severe Weather is possible Thursday across Mississippi. The entire state currently is in the Slight Risk category and can expect Damaging Winds up to 60-70 mph, Hail up to quarter size and Tornadoes possible.
