After sweeping storms hit the area last week, the next round of severe weather is projected for the area for Wednesday night into Thursday.
From the NWS: Strong to severe storms are possible along and west of the Mississippi River late Wednesday night and across the entire Mid- South on Thursday. Spotter activation may be needed late Wednesday night into Thursday.
According to MEMA:
Another round of Severe Weather is possible Thursday across Mississippi. The entire state currently is in the Slight Risk category and can expect Damaging Winds up to 60-70 mph, Hail up to quarter size and Tornadoes possible. … Always know where your safe place is and have multiple ways to receive alerts (NOAA weather radio, MEMA social media, local TV and radio. cell phone with alerts turned on).
