NMPHC Launches Major Expansion Project on 25-Acre Ashland Campus
North Mississippi Primary Health Care has officially broken ground on a new 10,000-plus-square-foot Administration and Training Building at its main campus in Ashland, marking a $4.668 million investment aimed at expanding healthcare services across Northeast Mississippi.
The new facility will provide modern office space for the organization’s Human Resources, Accounting and Finance, and Billing departments. Plans also include a new boardroom and dedicated training space designed to support staff development and organizational growth. The building is expected to accommodate up to 30 additional administrative and support employees as NMPHC continues to expand its operations.
The project also includes significant infrastructure improvements. Extensive drainage upgrades and frontage work will be completed along Boundary Drive (MS-5), including the addition of curb and gutter systems and new sidewalks connecting the NMPHC Wellness Center to the rest of the growing campus.
Recent property acquisitions have expanded the NMPHC main campus to approximately 25 acres. The campus currently features more than 30,000 square feet of clinical, administrative, and service space.
Roberts Builders was awarded the construction contract after submitting the lowest of four competitive bids, totaling $4.668 million.
“This represents another significant investment in our hometown by NMPHC and will allow us not only to grow our local workforce but, most importantly, better serve our patients all across Northeast Mississippi,” said Chief Executive Officer Bill Stone. “I am both excited for this project and proud of the commitment made by our Board of Directors to the future of our Community Health Center.”
Construction is expected to be completed in early 2027.
