Ripley police officer involved in vehicle accident on Friday

A Ripley police officer was involved in a vehicle accident while headed to a call early Friday, according to Ripley officials.

Officer Michael Dixon was involved in a two vehicle crash early Friday near the deep curve on highway 4 west in the city limits of Ripley.

Dixon was taken to the hospital and released with minor injuries. No word yet on the information of the other driver.
