Sign outlawing the open carry of guns at Tippah Lake to be taken down
A sign outlawing the open carry of firearms at a “sensitive area” of Tippah Lake is to be taken down according to the Mississippi Department of Wildlife Fisheries and Parks.
The sign had been up a the public lake for several years since before the current interpreation of the law was in place. It will be removed immediately.
According to State Representative Dana Criswell, who brought the sign to the attention of the MDWFP:
Good news for gun owners, the MS Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is correcting their no gun signage at Tippah County Lake.
