South Tippah School district sets tentative schedule for traditional graduation ceremony

From STSD:

The South Tippah School District realizes that high school graduation is an important, once in a lifetime, life changing event. Unfortunately, the class of 2020 has had to endure many changes to the experiences that most of our students have earned the right to have and this includes what we have come to expect for our graduation exercises.

In saying this, the South Tippah School district wants to ensure that EACH of our seniors is able to receive the best possible experience in the awarding of their diploma. This will be conducted through individual ceremonies that will include a professional videographer who will record this experience and make it available for each senior. This will be each school’s OFFICIAL graduation.

In addition to the official graduation, the South Tippah District will schedule TENTATIVE traditional ceremonies for the students on the dates listed below. These dates are TENTATIVE, as the South Tippah School District will have to follow the most up-to-date health guidelines from the Center Of Disease Control and the Governor of the State of Mississippi during these unprecedented times.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Friday, June 12TH – Guidance on guest attendance
restrictions per student and location will be provided, as well as any additional arrangements necessary to remain in compliance with the most up-to-date health guidelines.

Tuesday, June 23rd – Blue Mountain High School

Thursday, June 25th – Pine Grove High School

Friday, June 26th -Ripley High School

Each event will begin at 7:00 P.M.

If you have any questions please call your local school.

This is a traditional ceremony honoring our senior class of 2020 not the official South Tippah School District graduation.
