A storm that popped up yesterday evening led to Power outages that lasted the rest of the night. There were also at least two vehicle accidents and multiple confirmed on ground lightning strikes.
Couple that with a Large fire north of Ripley and you see why severe weather alerts should be taken seriously.
We do have reports of injuries, some serious in nature, but thankfully no fatalities. A similar storm the night before caused One fatality.
