Team from National Weather Service in Tippah County determing strength of storm

A team from the National Weather Service in Memphis is in Tippah County today surveying damage to determine the strenghth of the storm that occured yesterday.

That storm, defined as a tornado by multiple storm spotters, caused widespread damage throughout the northern part of the County.

According to the NWS: “A team from @NWSMemphis will be surveying storm data across northeast Mississippi today with a focus on Tippah and Tishomingo counties. #mswx”
