Tippah teen auditioning for “The Voice”, link to music video

Tippah county native Juwan McDonald will be trying out for The Voice in Nashville on February 16th. Open auditions are being held at the Music City Center.

The Voice first began in 2011, with four judges putting together teams of hand-picked singers. The singers then compete against each other with the ultimate goal of winning a recording contract.

Juwan will perform songs for the preliminary judges, hoping to receive a “red card”. A red card will mean he is allowed to continue through the auditions to potentially land a spot on the popular singing competition show.

Juwan is only 16, but has been devoted to his music for years. He is the son of Brandon and Tawan Spight of Falkner. Below is a link to the video for his newest song, “Remember”
