Toyota in Blue Springs making donations for PPE and food banks
The Blue Springs Toyota Plant is making steps to help the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Communications Manager Kathryn Ragsdale, the plant has donated thousands of dollars towards community support, and is offering help to others in need.
“Toyota is really dedicated to making sure we do all that we can do in the community, especially during this COVID crisis,” Ragsdale stated.
Toyota has given around $150,000 in grant funding, as well as masks and other personal protective equipment. They have also organized several food banks and donated around $70,000 to the Mid-South Food Bank Pantry.
Along with monetary donations, Toyota has donated building materials to Habitat for Humanity and a hundred gallons of hand sanitizer to local hospitals.
