June 27, Mississippi – In ongoing efforts to aid survivors of the severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes, and flooding that ravaged Mississippi from April 8-11, the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) and FEMA have established several Disaster Recovery Centers across the state. These centers serve as crucial hubs where affected individuals can seek federal disaster assistance, obtain updates on their applications, receive guidance, and access referrals to additional resources.
The newest addition to the roster of centers is located in Bolton, MS, opening its doors at 8 a.m. on June 27. This Mobile Disaster Recovery Center has been relocated from Hinds Community College in Raymond to the Hinds County Public Works Department parking lot, marked with prominent FEMA and MEMA signage at 10000 I-20 Frontage Road, Bolton, MS 39041.
Currently operational centers include:
– Hinds County: Smith-Wills Stadium parking lot, 1200 Cool Papa Bell Drive, Jackson, MS 39216
– Humphreys County: Humphreys County Multipurpose Building, across from Willard Jack Trucking at 417 Silver City Road, Belzoni, MS 39038
– Madison County: Karl M. Banks Emergency Services Complex, 1633 West Peace St., Canton, MS 39046
– Neshoba County: Dixon Volunteer Fire Department, 14800 Highway 21 South, Philadelphia, MS 39350
– Scott County: The Usry Voting Precinct, District 2 Building, 5335 Old Highway 80, Forest, MS 39074
All center are marked with FEMA and MEMA signage. These centers operate from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. They are closed on Sundays. For a complete list of open centers, visit fema.gov/drc.
Survivors applying for assistance are required to provide the following information:

– Details of Damages Incurred
– Financial Information
– Contact Information
– Direct Deposit Information
MEMA continues to collaborate with federal and local partners to establish additional Disaster Recovery Centers in other counties affected by the disaster.
