Tippah native placed in medically induced coma after wasp sting
A Tippah county native was rushed first to Ripley and then on to Corinth after a severe reaction to a wasp sting.
Amy King of Blue Mountain was stung by a red wasp Sunday in her home and was rushed to Tippah County Hospital and then on to Corinth. There she was placed in a coma.
She has experienced lack of oxygen and several strokes since the incident. While no longer in the coma she is in critical condition. Her family asks you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
