A Mississippi police officer was killed in the line of duty early Saturday morning according to the Philadelphia police department.
23 year old Leann Simpson of Philadelphia was killed after a single vehicle accident while she was responding to a call for help in Neshoba County. The accident happened in the early morning of Saturday November 24th.
Simpson is the 5th Officer to have died while on duty in Mississippi during 2018 according to compiled data.
