Threat for severe weather upgraded with tornadoes now listed as “likely”

The threat for severe weather this weekend has been upgraded by the National Weather service according to MEMA.

From MEMA:

There has been an upgrade in the risk category from, U.S. National Weather Service (NWS) for the storm system moving through the Mississippi Valley and may result in severe weather for Mississippi Saturday into Saturday evening. The primary hazards will be damaging winds along with the possibility of strong tornadoes. Stay tuned to your local TV/Radio and MEMA social media as the system develops.
