Severe Injuries reported with officer involved shooting Monday afternoon in North MS

**UPDATE: ONE PERSON DEAD**
According to law enforcement sources, an officer involved shooting took place Monday, July 1st in Pontotoc County. A vehicle fled from Union County and was chased into Pontotoc County.

According to preliminary reports, there was a shooting that involved the Mississippi Highway Patrol near the intersection of Highway 341 and Highway 9.

Multiple reports of both the coroner and ambulances on site with a police vehicle having “multiple bullet holes”.
