Tippah police issue scam warning related to stimulus payments

Police in Tippah County have issued a scam warning related to the upcoming stimulus payments.

According to them, this is a door to door scam targeting your personal information and they have been in the area recently.

From the Blue Mountain police department:

Be aware of subjects going around the area trying to convince citizens to sign up for Stimulus money offered by the Government. My understanding is they are telling people that in order to get their portion of the stimulus money, that will be coming, they need your personal and banking information.

This is a Scam!!!! DO NOT share this information with anyone that you do not know or completely trust. The last report that was made was in New Albany, Ms. If you have any information concerning the person or persons, please call the Blue Mountain Police Department at (662)-685-0025.
